This is a Tutorial by Jeroen van Oostrom on how to make a Studio Avatar play a
sound when clicked. This will require hand coding.
But not to worry, we provided the code for you to copy and paste.There
are only 4 steps, so what can go wrong?
Behind every Step: (around line #) This stands for the line number where you can find the code in your file. Keep in mind that every Avatar is different and with that so are the line numbers.
Use the pictures to see where the code goes.
You will need a VRML Editor. Your basic Text- and Note-pad
does not support VRML. But you can find them under
3D
Modeling
Here are some basic hotkeys so you can work faster. To
copy=Ctrl+C, select all=Ctrl+A, cut=Ctrl+X and to
paste=Ctrl+V. OK, let´s get started building.
Step1: (around line 37) Now we are going to add the first part of code. Copy it from the box below and paste it to your file like in the picture under it. (between the red lines) Once you have done that you need to change the name of your sound file. There are a few other options
but if you do not know how to handle them let it for what it
is.
