This is a Tutorial by Jeroen van Oostrom on how to make simple windows and how to make more advanced stained glass windows for your 3D environment. For example Church
windows.
Behind every Step: (around line #) This stands for the line number where you can find the code in your file. Keep in mind that every Avatar is different and with that so are the line numbers.
Use the pictures to see where the code goes.
You will need a VRML Editor. Your basic Text- and Note-pad
does not support VRML. But you can find them under
3D
Modeling
You will also need a Graphics Editor. Your basic
Windows Paint won't do the trick. You can find a good Editor
under Graphics
Here are some basic hotkeys so you can work faster. To
copy=Ctrl+C, select all=Ctrl+A, cut=Ctrl+X and to
paste=Ctrl+V. OK, let´s get started building.
Step1: Find a door you want to use, cut out the windows and save it as PNG=Portable Network Graphics. Your door looks like
this. We call it 'Layer 1' (click the thumbnail to enlarge the picture)
